I will receive a redundancy payment. How much time do I have to decide how I want the payment to be made to me?
My employer has offered me a redundancy package and now wants me to decide how I would like to receive the payment. There are several options I can choose but I need time for that. How much time do I have and as a consequence how long will my employer have to wait with the payment?
When your employer has offered you a redundancy package you have a reasonable period to decide which option you would like to choose. A reasonable period has been determined to be 6 months. If you need more than 6 months you will have to proof (towards the tax authorities) that it is reasonable to extent this period.
