Can we start the formation of a limited company in the Netherlands while I am not there yet?

I'd like to set up a BV in the Netherlands. I am not currently in the Netherlands and will only be visiting for one week in July. Do you need me there to start the process or can we already start so that I have the necessary documents to set up a business bank account when I am there in July?
I am an E.U. resident.
The procedure can indeed be started while you are not in the Netherlands yet. We can already collect all the information and paperwork which are required and start with the necessary registrations and the draft of the provisional articles of association. When you are here the bank account can be opened so that the formation can be finalized shortly after you have been in the Netherlands. For required information and paperwork please see our brochure about setting up a limited company.

can you set up a company in the netherlands and perform consulting activities in another country (i.e not be based in nl apart from occasional visits)? we are leaving the netherlands and my husband would like to continue to do some consulting work while working remotely (in africa). his clients will be global, from a range of countries.

it is possible to set up a company in the netherlands but be advised that the company will need an address in the netherlands and formally also a director.
