What is the VAT rate on public transport?

What is the BTW one pays (%) on the trains (NS) and busses (arriva) in Holland?

The VAT rate on public transport and taxis is 6% and is included in the price you pay. Public transport companies are exempted from the obligation to mention the VAT amount separately on the ticket ("the invoice"). This means that if you have a business and used public transport, you can claim back 6/106 of the ticket price as paid VAT in your periodic VAT return.

Expatax can prepare and file the periodic VAT returns for companies which do business in the Netherlands.
