part time minimum wage is calculated pro rata. so if you work 16 hours per week where the normal work week is 40 hours, the minimum salary is 16/40 * minimumsalary per week. or use the day table, or check the link in the article to the minimum wage per hour.

no, this is the gross wage, so before tax and premiums social security are taken off. but due to the progression in tax rates and the applicable tax credits the tax which will have to be paid may be relatively low.
