What is the minimum required share capital to set up a limited company?

Since 1 October 2012 there is no minimal required share capital anymore. Before this date the minimum share capital was € 18,000.
The share capital can be any amount, for example € 1. At least 1 share with voting right must be issued. It is not even required that this share capital is funded before the company is established, but as long as the funding hasn't taken place the shareholder will be liable in person for any risks or deficits inside the company.
