Answer:
 
A company in the Netherlands is legally required to carry out an audit of the financial statements by an auditor if at least two of the following criteria are met (in 2 successive years ):

  • a balance total of at least € 4.4 million
  • 50 employees working for the company
  • a net revenue of at least € 8.8 million
