Do we have to mention our VAT number on our website?

Entrepreneurs are required to provide their VAT number easily, directly and permanently accessible, but can decide themselves how to do this. This means that the VAT number doesn't automatically have to be listed on a website, although it may be the easiest way for your clients to find the number.

You can show your VAT number in 4 ways:

  • provide your VAT number actively to your (potential) customers;
  • show your VAT number at the place where the service is provided or the contract concluded;
  • make your VAT number easily electronically accessible at a previously communicated electronic address (website);
  • include your VAT number in information in which you describe your services in detail and which you provide to customers, such as terms and quotes.
