Our fees and rates

Fees

Tax advice (rates as of 1 January 2010)

All the work we do is charged at an hourly rate. The more complicated your questions are the higher the rate will be since specialized knowledge is required. We believe our fees are very competitive, considering that we have extensive knowledge about expat related tax issues. Expat tax is our core business and we assist several thousands expats every year which is one of the reasons why we can keep our fees low.

For income tax returns we can give an estimate of the costs. The fee depends on the complexity of the return and the time which needs to be spent. The more complicated the tax return is and the more information is needed the more hours need to be spent by us resulting in a higher fee. If you, for example, don't own a property in the Netherlands, don't have study costs or business/freelance income and you provide all the necessary information in one package so that we don't have to contact you several times with questions, the fee will be the lowest.

Tax return

The fee starts at € 275 for a straight forward tax return (additional time, complicated form or extra work will be billed on top).

If you have not been resident in the Netherlands the whole year the fee starts at € 350.

For the tax return of a partner the fee will be 50% of the above amount.

Time spent for anything else than a tax return will be separately charged at our hourly rate. This includes filing a letter of objection if the tax office has made a mistake, providing tax advice, answering specific questions etc. and also answering emails and phonecalls depending on the length and number of emails and calls. We will not charge a single short email, but if we have an email conversation we will charge our time.

Administration

The fees mentioned below are just estimates. The final fee depends on the quality of the given information. The more we have to find out ourselves, the higher the fee will be at the end.

Guidelines:

Small administrations € 600 per year (€ 50 per month)
Bigger (middle) administrations € 1.200 per year (€ 100 per month)
Corporate income tax return € 450 (or higher)

For small administrations you can think of self employed business owners without employees and not too much invoices and bills. If you have a partnership or if you have many invoices and bills you are treated as a business owner with a bigger administration. Prices don't include 19% VAT and extra costs. Be aware that these fees are (mostly) deductible as business costs and that the VAT can be claimed back.

The fees include:

- VAT returns
- business administration
- year end accounts
- estimates for the tax office throughout the year
- income tax return

Payroll administration

Contact us for an estimate.

Formation of a business

Contact us for an estimate regarding the costs of setting up a limited company (BV) or other types of businesses.

Mortgages, insurances, investments, etc.

The bank or the insurance company will pay your advisor for the work done which means you don't have to pay for the service provided to you. This is only different if you don't want to arrange a mortgage, insurance or investment but just need advice regarding your personal situation. In that case it can be agreed that the hourly rate is applicable.
